Day Trip That Does Not Cost Money To Enter

Great place to take the family “Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve” in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. There’s over 39,000 acres of prairie with 250 + plant species, plenty of birds and all kinds of bison that roam freely.  Early spring is the best time of year to visit Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve if you want to see recently born baby bison calves and some unique birds.  If you’re looking to see eagles, deer, bobcats and coyotes it’s best that you visit Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve when temperatures cool down.    Last year, our family headed out for a beautiful day trip to Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in Pawhuska.  We packed up the family, a camera, binoculars, cooler with drinks and food and we even brought our dog (he loves going for rides and being with the family).
