Blood Letting 101

A loud growl;

Bulldog Man ran from the living room to the kitchen sink.

Blood droplets on the floor, making a trail leading to the kitchen sink.

You ask……..

What happened????

Let me make a long story short.

Beans, our killer Chihuahua, was scrounging around the couch where Tank had sat down earlier to eat some popcorn.  Beans started pushing his paw under the couch, where he had found a piece of popcorn that had fallen earlier.

Beans grabbed the popcorn and ran to the middle of the living room floor, to display he had something he knew he wasn’t suppose to have.

Bulldog Man jumped up and ran over to Beans, to take away the popcorn.  Beans decided this was his piece of popcorn, and he was not going to give it up.  Beans turned into protection mode, growled and immediately bit Bulldog Man.

Beans knew he did wrong, because as soon as he ate the popcorn, he ran to Bulldog Man at the kitchen sick with this look of OMG……Pappy, I’m so sorry!!!!!

I guess the moral of this story; don’t take the popcorn away from Beans…..AKA: Killer, the little Chihuahua.

Legal Alcohol, Now An Adult

Yesterday, Bulldog Man and I took our son, Tank, out to dinner for his 21st Birthday.  Tank chose to go to Logan’s Steak House in town.  We treated him to a nice T-Bone Steak Dinner, and his first legal alcoholic drink.
It’s so hard to believe our youngest child is no longer a child, he’s 21 years of age, and now legally responsible for himself.
I’ve started to setup my indoor greenhouse with my new T5 light strips (which are supposed to be 20% brighter than the traditional grow lights) from ACF Greenhouses.   Come Thursday, I’ll need to stop off at the local seed store and pickup starting soil for planting seeds inside.  My plans are to start some of my tomatoes and peppers.
Have you started your seeds inside your home or greenhouse?

As requested, here is a picture of our fish dinner.  Nicely dredged in corn meal, flour, salt and pepper, then fried in canola oil.  Complimented with fried new potatoes, and honey roasted sweet corn with peppers.  OMG….talk about heaven!!!!

Eat your heart out my blogger friends!!!!

20-Inches, You Wish!!!

Friday night, Bulldog Man and I pulled the old fish line off of our rods, and replaced it with new fish line.  We setup the tackle box, with the required hooks for fishing trout, along with bait, and fishing spoons.  We pulled out the cooler, set it next to the freezer so come morning; we could just throw in the frozen milk cartons from the freezer before heading out to fish.
On Saturday, Bulldog Man and I woke up real early, and headed into the big “O” to go to Dolese Youth Pond to go Trout Fishing.

We found a great place along the bank of the pond to setup between a couple of trees.   Notice the picture where the beaver had targeted the tree.

Then of course we had a couple of visitors; the infamous beaver, several ducks, geese, and turtles.   After getting comfortable, and placing the bait on the fishing poles, Bulldog Man pulled out a 12-inch Rainbow Trout, and throughout the day we had multiple bites.  We didn’t bring anything else home that day.  We decided to return to the Pond on Monday.  After setting up and baiting our poles, I ended up pulling out a 20-inch Brown Trout, and of course we had all kinds of bites.  I think Bulldog Man was a tad bit jealous, especially when we placed the two fish beside one another……………………..LOL!!!!!

My Brown Trout
Tomorrow evening, we’re planning on having the fish for dinner.  Bulldog Man will be helping me in the kitchen cooking up these nice looking fish.
