This and That

Today was beautiful out, temperatures peaked at 65 degrees.  The lawnmower was calling my name…… Sandy…….

Actually the lawnmower wasn’t calling my name; the grass was…..lol……

Yes, I pulled out the old push mower and cut the entire lot.  The property actually looks really nice since we had rain, making the grass a beautiful shade of green.  Generally speaking, if we didn’t have the rain our grass would have been dry as a popcorn fart in a whirlwind, lol….

With the cooler climate here, I pulled out the dehydrator and dehydrated strawberries.

I also found myself canning the last of my garden tomatoes that I had placed in the freezer.

Our son’s headliner on his used (new to him) truck started coming down where it meets the windshield and he didn’t know exactly how to put it back up permanently.  Mom to the rescue, I pulled out my nifty little spray can of glue and fixed his headliner as if it was professionally fixed, and then I gave him my bill.  Tank wasn’t too pleased with Mom when I told him what my bill consisted of…….

Did anyone watch the debate last night?   I did and was surprisingly entertained.  Romney was totally prepared, looked directly at the President and appeared extremely confident, whereas Obama was edgy, couldn’t answer the questions directly, and refused to look upward in most cases.  If you watched, care to share your feeling on the debate?

  1. I LOVED the direct look at the moderator and the BIG BIRD statement. No more loans from China!! Obama's body language spoke volumes .. and no teleprompter to read from left him hanging for words.

  2. I loved it to! Without the teleprompter he can't think for himself. He needs to return being a Community Organizer and let an experienced person be the Commander and Chief.

  3. Mitt showed grab the bull by the horns leadership qualities, while the golfer-in-chief showed his true side as a puppet for George Soros, who wasn't there telling him what to say.

    1. Wasn't it great how Mitt took the bull by the horns :-) As for golfer-in-chief he just couldn't hold the floor even if he tried.

    1. Hey Sweetie! They are delicious, I was able to dehydrate 1 quart. I would love to do more, along with pineapple and bananas. I enjoyed the debate myself, Romney was very professional and had great manners unlike the other.

  7. I'm the first who was curious about what your son's bill consisted of...(or else everyone else got it and I was just thick.) Please tell! :)

    1. Tanks bill consisted of doing chores around the house for Mom. Like dusting, helping clean the cages, feed the animals.

    2. LOL! Was he really not pleased? Perhaps he thinks "I already do SO MUCH to help Mom" like mine do. (They have one chore.)

    3. Yes, he was really not pleased. He's at that age where he thinks he's 38 years old, when actually he's 19. Our son lives with us and being that he does, he has chores. We don't ask alot of him but when he's suppose to do something he does it. This time I added more for him to do and he was not pleased because he wanted to go out with his friends.
