I would like to start my post today by welcoming Mike from ourlittlemeadow blog.  Thank you for joining my blog, please sit back and enjoy the ride.

This weekend was a weekend of BBQ and great friends J

Saturday, Bulldog Man and I went to his boss’ house for a BBQ with fellow co-workers and their families, then on Sunday we headed to Northeast Oklahoma to meet up with SciFiChick from Bacon and Eggs and Phelan from A Homesteading Neophyte (I was so excited to finally meet some of my blog mentors……..shhhhhhh don’t tell them, it may go to their heads).  Talk about having a blast, Bulldog Man and I finally placed faces with actual blogs, and met their darling families.

What a perfect day in Oklahoma, the sun was out and there was a gentle breeze which made being outside comfortable.  The smell of ribs smoking in the smoker made everyone crave ribs.  While the ribs were smoking, we all sat around this large evergreen tree (shade), shared stories, enjoyed each other’s company and watch Medium and Small (Phelan’s sons) shoot targets.  When the ribs were done (thank you Mars for the delicious ribs), we enjoyed them along with some fabulous salads and beans all from Sci’s garden, homemade Amish bread, and strawberry peach crisp.  Phelan made this amazing pepper jelly for everyone.  It’s so good, it will make you jump up and slap your Mama, LOL……

At the end of the day we all said our goodbyes and Sci gave us goodie bags filled with vegetables from her amazing garden.

Thank you Sci, Phelan, and both of their husbands, we had a blast.

    1. A Girl,

I enjoy making friends from other locations over the internet. I consider it the cat's meow when you get to meet them in person.
