Tuesday the humidity levels raised dramatically
here, the dry line hung just to the west of our house on Tuesday. Then around 6:15PM the winds picked up, the
dry line moved to the east of us and our temperatures dropped dramatically. Then between 2 – 3 AM all hell broke
loose. We had heavy winds, temperatures dropped
to 28 degrees, lightning, thunder, and hail.
At around 6AM the ice started to form on trees, and the ground, and then
it started to snow. Temperatures rose to
32 degrees later in the day. The weather finally passed here, temperatures
today were 32 degrees this morning, and 56 degrees this afternoon, the sun is
out, and the moisture on the ground is starting to dry up.
We weathered the storm okay and we were totally prepared
for anything to happen. The only damage,
a few shingles on the roof needing replaced, and trash that blew in onto the
property needs picking up.
The weather people here are now telling us to expect
another cold front, and bad weather end of next week.
Thank you to all my friends for the kinds words
about being careful while the storm came through.
Now, I’m sending prayers and warm thoughts to all of
my friends who are in the pathway of this horrific storm. Please be careful, and hunker down.
