The Ice is Starting

The wind is terrible, and the ice is coming in.  I’m sitting inside enjoying a nice cup of tea, and then it’s outside time with my Yakatrax to salt down a few areas. Temperatures keep dropping; snow is on its way. I'm happy I did all my  errands, shopping, and getting gas early this morning before it became nasty outside :-)

The ice building on the truck mirror as I'm shopping at the grocery store.
Ice starting to build, before turning into a gas station.

Stay warm and safe people!!!

    1. Harry,

This is just the start of it. The wind is terrible, and the temperatures are low. This morning it was 14, now it's 28 degrees. Make sure to stay warm and safe when this thing hits you and yours :-)

    1. Sweet Kymber,
When I posted the pictures above the storm was first starting. We are waiting for the snow now. In the morning it's going to be real nasty.
I will be careful, and stay nice and warm. We are hunkered down with warm slippers, PJ's and the heat is on. Beans is all wrapped up like the spoiled dog he is, lol....... Since were in our PJ's already, we decided to make breakfast for dinner and just relax.

Tank has decided he's going out with his friends, I worry about him with this ice.
Send love back at the both of you.
      Your friends,
      Sandy and BD Man

    1. Rev. Paul,

You are too silly!!! Actually, when I got out of the truck to pump gas I nearly ended up on my butt on the ground. The wind was blowing the ice causing it to come in under the over hang at the gas station.

We are waiting..............an know you're sending more stormy weather our way.

We will be safe, thanks. Where we live they're worried about ice cause many trees to fall, and power lines to drop.

OMG!!!!! Little House on the Prairie, I used to watch that program as a kid (oh dear, I've aged myself) Bahahahahaha!!!!
The tea kettle will remain hot the entire weekend. We will enjoy all kinds of tea, and maybe even put the coffee pot on the old stove.
Our plans are to stay inside, keep warm, and remain safe. Did you know there are all kinds of crazy drivers here in Oklahoma. We made national new with the ice and the high number of accidents today.
Lots of love being sent your way.

  12. Getting cold here (thought not THAT cold). We have wind and rain so it will feel worse than it is. But it's a great weekend to stay inside here too. Stay inside and dream of Spring, ha. Stay safe most importantly and stay warm.

I hope you didn't get the rotten weather expected!
We lived in OK one winter and the roads were so bad when
it snowed because it was so wet and heavy.
