Oklahoma Bad Weather

Severe weather producing hail the size of baseballs, bad rain, thunder, lightning, heavy winds, circular movement in the sky, and several tornadoes touched down around the Lawton area.  Storm’s heading north, north east.  Ya’ll need to be careful with this storm.  Go to your safe place. I’m keeping everyone in my prayers.  I’m going to snatch up the animals and head for the closet.

    1. Kelly,

I hate it too, I'm not from this part of the country. I'm used to hurricanes. Hopefully your goat won't kid through this storm. You stay safe too!

    1. Rev. Paul,

This storm pounded on Oklahoma most of the night. We had one tornado not to far from our place. Everyone here was safe and dry. Thanks for your kind words.

    1. Mama Bear,

I felt your prayers, thank you so very much. Yes, the weather is very crazy. Oh I do know how you feel, I used to live in Florida and experienced several bad hurricanes. Andrew was the worst for me.

  7. Thank you for this post, my Grandfather is in a nursing home in Lawton, I had no idea. I just called them and they had been in the shelter but are all back in their rooms, apparently everything is ok there, though the VA center he is at is just down the road from the Goodyear plant and I hear it had damage.

I hope all is well with you. Be safe.

    1. 1st Man,

Your welcome, I'm happy to hear your Grandfather was safe in a shelter. Were all okay here, we hunkered down in our closet with the animals.

  8. If you find yourself in a weird place and some house has squished an old crone stay put. Chances are I might be right behind ya.

Keep your head down and best wishes.

    1. MDR,

We hunkered down in the hall closet, had one tornado close by. Everyone is okay, thank you. I'm so sorry to hear this had happened. I'm sending prayers to all the families touched by this horrific incident. Do you have family members in or near this area? Please be careful and safe with this weather.
