Thank You For Your Prayers & God Bless The Children

This storm started just outside of where my son works, it was heading directly for the area where we live, when it changed course, and hit the town about 5 minutes from our home.  We didn’t get any damage and we all are okay, thank God.  I ended up in our linen closet on the floor with our dogs while my husband and son were at work.  Thank you all for your prayers, we are safe and we have a home still planted in the ground.

Please pray for those families who lost loved ones and have no homes.

My heart goes out to all those little elementary school children who lost their lives inside of the school.

The city of Moore is just devastated, our family will be going out to help families with their homes destroyed by cutting wood, locating personal property, and cleaning up.

  1. I sent you a freaked out letter asking if your lived in Moore, because I was pretty sure you did. When I didn't hear back, I knew you had been blown to Kingdom Come and it scared the bejesus out of me. I'm SO happy, relieved, and shocked that you're okay. whew, and whew again. The ones who aren't okay will be forgotten as soon as there's something new for the news to report, but they will be suffering throughout the next year, and many years to come.

    1. Lotta Joy,

Dana, My family is safe, shaken, stressed and scared but safe. We have friends who have homes damaged. We are going out to help friends and strangers with clearing damage, finding personal property, and any way we feasibly can.
Those who were injured, lost a family member or a home won't be forgotten. The city of Moore dealt with a very large tornado 10 years ago, every person involved, or who lived, or is living in this area still remember and talk about it. They still go out of their way to help those who suffered. The community of Moore is a very tight knit community. This story will be forgotten by many throughout the U.S. once there's something new to report but Oklahomans won't forget.

  4. So glad your ok! I've been just sick watching it on TV. If you go to help take a couple loaves of bread and make up PBJ's to hand out. Oranges ANYTHING will be appreciated. Most are probably in shock and won't even think to eat. We live outside of Henryville which was hit hard last year....it was just heart breaking & the damage is still visible by the tree line in the hills. Lots of prayers for the family's and you while you help in the recovery

    3. Sweet Kymber and Jambaloney,

Thank you for your extra special hugs and friendship. Everyone says I have a big heart, I just try to help when ever I possibly can. I don't like to see people in pain and distress dealing with a tragedy like this. The same goes for the innocent pets.
      Your Friend,
      Sandy

  9. Sandy, So glad to know you are ok...I was really worried for you all..The devastation we have seen on television is beyond words...absolutely horrible!

It is so terribly sad for the families of those little children...I hope at least some are able to find comfort in the fact that those little ones are sitting at the feet of Jesus safe and secure...

  12. Such a sigh of relief knowing you and your family are safe. I know the terror must have been terrible, and I am praying that the weather agrees with all the people trying to assist those in need. I am happy you live in a community that is very strong and helps each other. It is really wonderful that you are helping those families. Take care and keep in touch. My ongoing prayers for all affected by this.
    Blessings,
    Susie
