Sling, Gun, & Garden

What a gorgeous day in Oklahoma today!!!!  Temperatures this morning was 64 degrees, this afternoon; 88 degrees, with a nice breeze, and the humidity level less than 40 %.

I was up early this morning cutting grass, weed whacking, and pulling cucumbers.

Several tomato plants are growing on top of these straw bales and wild mushrooms are growing down the sides.  Check this out………………

I also found another use for panty hose…………………

A Sling!!!

Yes, you heard right………..a sling for my tomatoes.

We also added a new rain gauge to our garden.

Remember the tomatoes I couldn’t identify?  Well here’s the picture I initially posted, and below are the same tomatoes changing colors.  I believe these tomatoes may be called Dad’s Sunset.

Finally, Bulldog Man had a problem with his gun …… light primer strike.  He contacted Ruger via e-mail, they immediately contacted him by telephone, and had him send in the gun, and within a day of receipt, Ruger took Bulldog Man’s gun totally apart, replaced all parts, fired the gun 40 times, and returned the gun.  This process only cost us shipping, the parts were totally replaced at no cost.

Today, we took his gun out to the range to fire it, there are no more issues with ammunition feeding and firing through the gun.  Wooohooo, I have a happy husband :-)

Life couldn’t be any better!

Slow Pace

Bulldog man and I spent the day together at a slower pace. We took the morning to have breakfast together, relax and just have great conversation.  After, we returned home and walked the property picking up stuff that blew in from the high winds we’ve been having.  We decided to remove the weather protection from the faucets outside (don’t think we need the protection; don’t expect any more bad frost since going into spring).  This was needed because we have flowers blooming that need watering (and if you step in mud or shall I say something else, you can wash it off).  

Bulldog man and I went out to the local range to test my gun.  The gun, a 9MM Beretta PX4 Storm SC is a great gun.  Never had any firing problems, handles fabulously, easy to load and extremely easy to breakdown and clean.  About 4 weeks ago, we sent my gun back to the manufacturer upon their request to fix a front site that continued to fall off.  Apparently the site was never properly posted.  Beretta USA, without hesitation issued a pickup tag, picked up the gun, tested the gun, fixed the gun and turned it back around to us, at no cost, within 3 weeks.   No, this is not a Beretta commercial, I’m an avid fan. The Beretta PX4 Storm Type F Subcompact (SC) 9MM Automatic

Wow, talk about a beautiful gun!  I rented this gun at our local gun range, to get a feel on how this gun handles when fired.  Talk about smooth, the PX4 Storm Subcompact had very little recoil.  The gun itself never once malfunctioned.  The trigger pull is easy on the finger.  You have both the single and double action ability.  I put 200 rounds through it and the gun never experienced a problem.  I was able to hit the target dead on with great accuracy.  This gun comes with interchangeable back straps to fit perfect with any hand size.  There is a manual safety lever on both sides making it easy for the ambidextrous.     The clip can hold 10 – 13 rounds.   

The Beretta PX4 Storm SC is a gun that can be easily disassembled for cleaning. 

If you’re looking for a gun for self defense and conceal carry, I would highly recommend that you consider this:   Beretta PX4 Storm SC.   

If you’re a woman considering buying a gun, do as I have done.  Go to your local gun range, talk to the gun dealer and ask to rent the gun (try it out first).  A wise man once said, “Never Buy a Gun until You Have a Chance to Handle It”.
