Birthday, Vietnam Veteran, New Year

New Year’s Eve was Bulldog Man’s birthday, he turned 53 years old.  We stayed home to celebrate his birthday, I made a nice home-cooked meal, and the evening at our place was nice and quiet.  Kind of the way we wanted it to be, because the last several months in 2013 were extremely stressful.

Last Sunday, we had the pleasure of listening to a guest speaker at church, Dr. Tim Lee, a Vietnam Veteran, US Marine, and an Evangelist Preacher.  He lost his legs when he stepped on a 60 pound landmine. Dr. Lee’s powerful sermon of hope, strength, love, and faith touched all who attended the service.  Dr. Tim Lee is an extraordinary man, a man I’m proud to call a friend.  Please take time out to read about my friend here:  http://www.timlee.org/about-tim/

Happy New Year, may 2014 bring you new hopes, faith, love, and aspirations.

    1. DesertHen,

Dr. Tim Lee is very fascinating. This man has been through hell and back and he has no bad feelings. I'm so happy we had the opportunity to listen, meet, and talk with Dr. Lee. We even had him autograph a book he brought. The book was written by Oliver North (he signed the book too). The man is an inspiration to us.
Bulldog Man thanks your for the birthday wish.
Happy New Year To You and Yours Sweetie.

Sandy, I so hear you about staying home. I get so tired of go, go, going, sometimes. I love being a homebody.

I'm guessing Dr. Lee was quite inspirational.
