Storm - Atlas Shrugged II - Give-Away Preview

Weather men are predicting a blizzard hitting us this evening.  High winds, snow and ice.  Am I going to run to the store like all the sheeple, the last minute shoppers, to be prepared for the storm, no!   I’m going to hunker down, and enjoy watching the moisture hit our state.  We’re prepared; we have food, water, gas, items necessary if we lose electric and good company.  What more can a person ask for?

Bulldog Man had picked up Atlas Shrugged II in blue ray form to add to our collection of good movies. The plots of the movie, citizens refuse to be overcome by government control and taxation. We both watched this movie last night with anticipation of getting closer to knowing “Who is John Galt?” If you haven’t watched this movie yet but plan to, you won’t be disappointed.  This movie, part II moved at a faster pace than the original movie Part I), it will keep your interest, and had all new people playing the characters.  There were several surprises throughout the movie, the biggest surprise; the end.  Bulldog Man and I now can’t wait for part III.  Would Bulldog Man and I recommend this movie? Yes!!!

In closing, I thought I would share a sneak peak of an upcoming give-away I will be posting on my blog.

    1. Katie,

The first movie Atlas Shrugged moved a little slow, the second moved alot faster. It's a great movie!

  2. Sandy, you and Bulldog Man stay warm and safe. We normally don't have to go out for supplies but I had to send Papa Bear out in the rainstorm for more cough syrup for me and the Marine...We've managed to drink every bottle in the house...You'd think it was alcohol or something..bahahahha Seriously I am wondering just how much cough syrup I need to store...I thought I had plenty:(...maybe I just can't find it in my remodeling mess....

  3. Mamma Bear,

Yes Ma'am, were staying home, warm and safe. We don't want to be out in the storm. Winds have really picked up and temperatures have dropped, very little snow so far (wondering to myself, weatherman may have been wrong again with his forecast).

Oh no, you ran out. Hmmmm.....ever consider making your own cough syrup? Here's a website showing how to make a simple cough syrup that will keep for months http://www.mindbodygreen.com/0-7355/diy-make-your-own-cough-drops-and-cough-syrup.html

I hope you and the Marine are feeling better soon, stay warm!!

    1. Sandy...Thanks for the link to the cough syrup . I will be copying that and adding to my home remedies notebook.

The Maine and I do feel better. We just have a lingering persistent cough that does not want to go away.

  5. I'm sure you and Bulldog Man are all prepared, good for you. These storms should be waking people up to always be prepared, but I have a feeling we'll be watching them run to the store time after time, or crying for the gov't to come and feed them..

    1. Izzy,

The storms should be a wake up call. Many don't think this way, just feel the store is or will always be available to them or the government will take care of them.

Remember when growing up our parents used to teach us always take care of yourself and your family don't depend on others?

  6. I've been thinking about you with all these storms out your way. It always cracks me up when people run to the store when a storm is coming to get milk, bread and eggs. I guess they all want to make French Toast :)

Stay safe and keep us posted!

    1. They alway do the last minute shopping instead of having stuff already in stock at home. It cracks me up too!

The storm missed us, it turned. We got a little snow and high winds with a temperature change.
All is well thanks, how about you? Storms heading up toward you.

  7. We are waiting for the storm to hit sometime tonight. I do not mind but it is harder to get out and feed the cows if it is freezing rain so I do hope it stays snow.
I have never heard of this movie but I am sure my husband would love it.
Wow that is a nice give a way. Take care Hope the storm is less for both of us. B

I hope you just get snow, this way it's easier to feed the animals. I recommend your husband see the first movie before Atlas Shrugged II. Great movies!

We dodged the storm!!!! The storm hit areas of Oklahoma and passed other areas.
