Garden Updates, & My 2 Brats

I was able to get the grass completely cut, property cleaned up, and several tree branches cut and ready for removal when it started to rain.

Yeah…..rain, we all need it out in this part of the country.  So there won’t be any complaints from me.

My garden loves the rain, here are some updates and pictures taken before the rain hit.

I have Greek Oregano growing like crazy and I’ll be cutting this off and dehydrating it for future use.

After giving the Pineapple tomato plant a haircut, the birds decided to take advantage of the fact that the bird netting had been removed and targeted several tomatoes.

After pulling all my lettuce, I planted another set of green beans; as you can see they’re growing nicely.

And finally, not part of the garden, a dog and his best buddy, hogging the bed…………….see what I have to put up with every night???

Enjoy your evening……..

  4. Sandy, it all looks so good! I'd be lucky to get even one go of green beans here. We think we're having a heat wave this summer with all of the mid 70's weather we're getting!

  6. Sandy- blow some of of those rain clouds east as well, we could use it here in SC. I have two boxers that think they are pomeranians sleeping with us at night, one is 80 #s the other is 60#.

Poor tomatoes, the birds tear mine up as well, so i have planted them in pots by the house so I can keep a better eye on them. All looks good though. You gardens are always so darn pretty

PS: Will kymber ever check her email?????? lol

    1. JUGM,

I'll be happy to blow rain clouds toward you :-)
Where do you find room in the bed for you and Senior?? Dogs love to take all the room!!!

It's time for me the bird netting back over the tomatoes to prevent the birds from eating my tomatoes.

I don't know if Kymber will check her mail, I hope all is well there......

Your garden is just lovely. Yeah, we need the rain this way. Looks like we might get it this weekend & early next week. Of course, I'm headed to the beach for a week on Saturday. Maybe the weather people will be wrong ...?

    1. Harry,

Beans is a nut, he love sleeping in the bed at night or even when you're taking a nap. Between Beans (the dog) and my husband, I get the very edge of the bed.

  10. Garden looks great! I have so much to do to get started with our fall garden, but I've yet to plant a seed. Just not enough time, or I'm not making the proper time. yep, that's more likely.

We no longer let our dog sleep with us. She's such a pain. Licking, scratching and of course she can stink up a room when she wants to. I have a hard enough time sleeping to begin with, so that nuisance has her own blanket on the couch!

    1. Izzy,

Thank Izzy!!! You'll get your fall garden in before you know it.

I need to break our dog from sleeping with us, I can't sleep..............he likes to hog the bed. And he produces all kinds of heat, including the stinky kind......lol......
