You Will Always Be The Wind Beneath My Wings

At 5:34 AM this morning my Dad went to be with God.  I share with you a song he loved.

Dad
A special dad is hard to find,
You dad I'm keeping in my mind,
I wished you could have stayed forever,
But I will never forget you oh not ever.

If dreams weren't dreams and dreams came true,
I wouldn't be here I'd be with you.
Distance is one thing that keeps us apart,
But dad you will always remain in my heart.

A special smile, a special face, a special someone I can't replace,
I love you and I always will,
You filled a space that no one will ever replace.

Thanks Matt, I'm so happy I spent the last 5 days with him. I made him laugh and make faces. He was a jokester right up to the last minute.

Thank you for your prayers of comfort, they're needed. It's so different not having Dad in person. We know he's here in spirit.

  7. sweet Sandy, like you said earlier, your Dad has moved on to his new mission, whatever and wherever that is. but pieces of him remain on earth in his children with you having a big piece of him inside you with your generous outlook on life, your caring and sweetness and, of course, your stubborn-ness - bahahahah! i am just so glad that you were able to spend some time with him before he passed. you, BDMan, Tank and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. your friends,

    1. Sweet Kymber,

Dad and I have sort of the same personalities, so I guess you could say stubborness runs within our family. He also raised me well. We are so lucky to have been there in his last days of life. Thank you my sweet friend for your prayers and warm thoughts.

  12. Our hearts hurt for you, but know that you were able to be there in those final days and that he had comfort in that. That song is beautiful. Your Dad had good taste in songs. He truly will be the wind beneath your entire family's wings...every breeze that blows across the yard, every rustle of the leaves, when a wind chime jingles, know that's he's there with you.

    Big hugs to you all....
