Open Carry

On Tuesday, May 15th Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin signed the open carry gun bill.  Governor Fallin stated this “sends a strong message that Oklahoma values the rights of its citizens to defend themselves, their family and their property.”  The new law will go into effect November 1, 2012.

  4. Concealed Carrying has a problem. I don't like carrying in my purse. That's the first thing that would be ripped off my body. I would prefer a shoulder holster, but in Florida....it's too hot to wear a jacket.

    1. Lotta Joy, I stopped carrying a purse since last Christmas, we had to numerous purse snatchings in town. Being from a law enforcement background, I decided it's not worth having your arm yanked off when some bastard decides he wants what is in your purse. As for a gun, my recommendation since you reside in Florida is a holster on the inside of your pants. Just pull your t-shirt over it. Shoulder holsters are my preference too.
