Join, Welcome, Thank You........Garden, and Heads Up

I would like to start my post out by welcoming 2 new friends to my blog, Yart from Grim Wytche Farm and ZZTop357 (ZZ has several blogs, all of which are from earlier years).

*****

The last couple of weeks have been a bit stressful.  We lost a dear friend, SciFiChick; and I’ve been dealing with issues regarding my Mom’s health.

Sunrise in the morning on the drive to TX.

GARDEN:
Since I’m done with my cucumbers, I pulled up all the vines, along with my squash vines, and I’m starting to prepare the beds for winter.  We still have several tomato plants still producing tomatoes; however, the quantities have subsided.

The green pepper plants are just producing like crazy, along with the celery.  I’m hoping by the end of this month, I will be able to put my entire garden to rest for winter.

This way I can dedicate all my time to canning, making jerky, baking, cleaning, and preparing items for the holidays.

With the fresh tomatoes and basil from the garden, we made these awesome French bread pizzas.  I had to share the picture because I have a dear amazing friend, Kymber, over at Framboise Manor, who is constantly putting up pictures and recipes on her blog.  Everything she makes looks delicious.  It never fails; when I’m hungry, reading her blog makes me drool.   So Sweet Kymber, this photograph is for you baby……eat your heart out!!!!   Are you drooling yet???

Give-Away time…………….yes, I said give-away.  Check back tomorrow and register to win this awesome prize. I will be sponsoring a give-away of an item that will help you in the kitchen and in your garden for years to come.
