AMMO Cans Real Deal

Earlier today, Bulldog Man and I went out to visit one of our favorite stores, The Faithful Prepper (this store was recommended on my blog in a previous post).  About two weeks ago, The Faithful Prepper moved locations, to a larger site, directly in the heart of downtown Noble.  Their new location is 105 S. Main Street, Noble, Oklahoma (located in the same strip mall as a restaurant called Tiffany’s).

Bulldog Man and I walked around in the new location of this store, and found a few things we needed to add to our homestead/prep materials.

We also picked up 2 ammo cans at $10.00 a can, or if you buy 5 cans or more the price reduced to $8.00 a can; talk about a reasonable price.  The used ammo cans were in excellent condition and the rubber seal on the lids were nearly in mint condition.  Stephen at the store said they had approximately 550 ammo cans available.  If you’re looking for ammo cans, visit The Faithful Prepper, or contact by phone: (405) 872 – 0600 or by email: faithfulprepper@hotmail.com

  3. I need to look for those here in Houston, I'm sure they are around. I know ammo is the obvious use, I'm wondering, do you use them for other storage needs? Any suggestions? And if you store ammo in them, does it store for a long time?

    1. 1st Man,

If the seals are good on the ammo can you can use them for first aid kits, document storage, or anything you want to hold in a safe place.

  4. You know, I was out thrifting one day last Spring and I came across a store here that had tons of different sized ammo cans. I didn't know what to do with them. What are you using them for? I know this sounds silly, but ammo or other?
    Blessings,
    Susie

    1. Susie,

We use our cans for ammo, first aid, electronic storage (radios, telephone, ect...).

    1. MDR,

Sorry for the delayed response, been dealing with another medical issue with my Dad.

If I recall your about 2 to 3 hours from Noble, Oklahoma. If you're going for ammo cans it may cost more with gas and time. It maybe cheaper to look locally where you reside. And if they were shipped, it would be expensive too. The store has just moved to a new location, the owner is setting up the displays and shelves and are in the process of trying to get new people to teach classes.

  6. Those ammo cans are really handy for a lot of things. Maybe you should get a discount for being such loyal customers and advertisers. :)

  7. I love that type of ammo can. I was lucky enough to get some after a long drive from Richmond, along with some new camo cloths which cut the sun that I place on top of the open chicken areas in Summer. Glad you found these !

  8. That's truly a good deal. I have to order mine from AIM Surplus, and by the time I pay shipping and all, it runs me about $14.00 a can.

    1. Harry,

I thought it was a good deal. $14.00 is a good price if you're ordering them and having them delivered. I've seen them in places going for over $20.00 a can, not including shipping.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
