In Green Chile Heaven

Hatch Green Chiles
In my opinion, the only type of green chile to grow or buy is Hatch Green Chile.   Bulldog Man and I drove into the big city, Oklahoma City, to the one and only Whole Foods store in Central Oklahoma.  We were on a mission, that mission was to find a couple of pounds of fresh green chiles. We succeeded on finding Hatch Green Chiles and bought several pounds at 99 cents a pound.  Once home we cleaned the chiles, seeded the peppers (kept the seeds for growing in our garden next spring), chopped the chile peppers and placed the chopped peppers in the freezer for upcoming meals.  Oh…. I’m so in heaven right now!

  1. Wow Sandy,

Those chile peppers look wonderful. .99 a pound sounds like a good price to me. Did you wear gloves while decaptivating them?
