Family - Bread

In my heart, family comes first over blogging. I took several days away from Blogger for several reasons. Bulldog Man was injured while shopping at one of the major chain hardware stores (I won’t mention the name of the specific store).  He removed a large hitch wrench from the display to purchase and while looking at the wrench the entire display of wrenches toppled down hitting my husband in the temple and forehead, causing my husband to get dizzy, and see stars.  I must say one of the employees of the store was there immediately helping, unlike the manager.  Then our son, Tank had surgery on the palm of his hand, requiring a steel plate, screws, pins and wires to put him back together (kind of sounds like the scarecrow on The Wizard of Oz).  The last several days have been hectic, dealing with doctors, hospitals and stress.  I would like to thank all of my blogger friends for the support, well wishes and prayers.
On a lighter note, I’ve found a recipe for banana bread that is so good, it will make you want to jump up and slap your Mama J  Bahahahahahaha!!!!!

Sorry about blurry picture.

Banana Banana Bread
(Found under Allrecipes.com by Shelley Albeluhn)
Ingredients
2 cups all – purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup butter
¾ cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, lightly grease a 9x5 loaf pan. In large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.  In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar.  Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture, stir just to moisten. Pour batter into loaf pan.  Baked in preheated oven for 50 – 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.  Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, and then turn out onto a wire rack.

  3. I love making yeast bread. That is also a good way to use up that extra zucinni squash that many people can't give away.
