Get your peanuts!!!!!  Tank came home after working at his friend Matt’s family farm, before the snow, with a brown grocery sack full of fresh peanuts grown on the farm.

What to do?

Well I cleaned the peanuts with warm water, and then placed the cleaned nuts in a pot of brine.   The brine; 1 tablespoon of kosher salt, 2 cups of nuts, and 3 cups of water.  Make sure the salt is dissolved, and then add the nuts.  Let them soak for about 1 hour.  Dump the water nut mixture in a colander and rinse lightly.  Place the nuts on some paper towels and pat dry.  Place the dried nuts on a cookie sheet in a 300 degree oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.  Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and let cool.  Once cooled, place the nuts in a moisture free container.
