Tornado Season Starting Early

The clouds are building; you can hear the thunder roaring.  We’re expecting damaging wind with up to 50 mph, hail, rain, thunder, and an elevated risk of tornadoes.

  1. We got hit pretty hard last night up here. No tornadoes that I know of but the wind did a little damage. Mostly to my mom's knick knack stuff she likes to hang up though.

I think they took the t-storms for tonight out of our forecast though.

    Patten down the hatches Sandy....

    1. PP,

It's a good thing you all are okay!!!! Anything damaged or broken can be replaced, your lives can't.

We hunkered down, everyone is okay here. Slight damage, nothing to stress over.

    1. Sweet Kymber,

We stayed safe and warm. Beans was right by my side, poor little guy hates storms just as much as I do. Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and conversation last night. Love you both,
      Sandy

    1. Leigh,

Oh yes!!! The tornado wasn't as bad as two years ago.
It did cause damage and injuries but no deaths in our local area. Apparently, Tulsa had one death.

    1. Mike,

Not in this rental home. We hunker down in the hallway with all doors closed.
If the tornado coming is a very large tornado we evacuate to a safe location.

  8. That's not good. My area has a long history of April being the worst month. You folks are starting early. I hope it all misses you.

No it's not! We are starting several days early, I can only pray this years season will be mild. Hopefully, April will be a quiet month for y'all.

  9. Please do all you can to stay safe just in case things get bad. When we lived in Illinois, March was the worst month for tornadoes and bad winds. My tummy still gets queasy when I think of it. Hugs and wishes of safety being sent to you all.

    1. Mama Pea,

We hunkered down, and stayed safe. Illinois always had bad weather this time of year. My stomach stays queasy this time of year. Thank you for your hugs and wishes, we needed them last night. Oh and Mama Pea, the temperatures here turned cold again :-(

  10. I am so glad you all are okay! Even though we look forward to spring, it always brings some scary weather. I can't even think about planting here - it's still covered in snow! Stay safe!

    1. Susan,

We are happy we just have minor damage, unlike other people in the area.
At least this storm wasn't the F5 Moore had two years ago. I would prefer snow over dealing with tornadoes. I love spring though with all the flowers blooming, animals being born, and the starting vegetable gardens.
      You stay warm!!!
