Roses From My Garden |
Finally, I would like to welcome Weekend-Windup
to my blog. Folks if you have a chance,
please stop by this blog for some interesting reads.
LOL You think your gonna have enough for all that?
ReplyDeletePP,
DeleteSure.....why not?
Sandy - With two 4x8 foot beds even at full production at any given time I doubt we have enough ripe strawberries at once to do more than maybe 1 of the things you mentioned. I don't know how many plants you have of course or if unlike me you can save the ripe ones and keep em away from the ravenous hordes long enough to get a stockpile up. Around here I would need at least another 24 plants at a year old to have enough for what you have planned :)
DeleteI'm not sure our strawberries are in bloom. I know the black berries are. Beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteGail,
DeleteYour strawberries will be blooming soon.
I love black berries, but don't have any planted on the property.
Thank you!!!
Awesome! I haven't had much luck growing strawberries. Go figure since for 1/2 the year they come out of FL, but that's a bit further south. My weeks just take over or the varmints eat them.
ReplyDeleteNice roses, love the color!
Izzy,
DeleteHave you tried covering the strawberries with netting and pvc pipe as a base, this may help keep critters out of your berries.
Thanks on the roses, the bush was here when we moved in.
Yum, fresh strawberries are a gift from God.
ReplyDeleteK,
DeleteYes......you can say that again :-)
don't forget just plain strawberries with a bit of sugar over them..YUM.
ReplyDeleteND would come up there and eat your entire strawberry patch, between those and cherry tomatoes that kid would go nuts.
JUGM,
DeletePlain strawberries are really good. ND is more than welcome to come up and eat all my strawberries and tomatoes. I may have to put more seeds in the ground soon :-)
I bet you will have a bumper crop! I put in a new strawberry patch this year and know I won't really be able to enjoy it until next year. Since strawberries are high on the list of pesticide containing fruits, I really had no choice but to grow my own. Can't wait to see your harvest.
ReplyDeleteMichaele,
DeleteI have a lot of strawberries and will be making a few things with them.
