Faces of Ice

It got down right cold, wet, icy, and windy.  Then the wind calmed down, the News people kept saying expect snow…………………… it snowed very little.  Not enough to even talk about.
We stayed home, kept warm and safe.  Tomorrow we will venture out.
This storm is moving east, ya’ll be careful, and stay warm.

    1. Mamma Bear,

Cold wind is what we had yesterday. Wear something warm when going to milk. Thank God for no ice on your eaves :-)
We're nice and warm, and not venturing out until tomorrow morning, when the guys have to go to work.

  5. sweet Sandy - the way the ice is hanging on the tree branches, leaves and berries - whenever that happens here, it is called "silver thaw". it normally happens in late february/march and the trees hang over the roads and it is quite pretty. but to be happening in november - OH NO WAY JOSE! WAAAAY tooo soon! that storm of yours is moving up the east coast seaboard...and we are feeling some of it's effects tonight and for the next few days. today was a lot colder than normal and we had some gusty winds. it looks like it will die back tomorrow but the cold will stay for a bit. then we are back to more normal temps. is this normal for your time of year? we don't normally get any serious frosts until late december. i am glad that you stayed home and kept warm - can't think of anything better to do on a cold kind of weekend!

    your friend,

    1. Sweet Kymber,

The silver thaw is pretty but I really don't like to much ice because these people here in Oklahoma don't know how to drive on it.
The weather has been totally freaky this year, I'm hoping Spring comes soon, lol.......
      Stay warm and be safe.
      Your Friend,
      Sandy

Yes Sir!!!! I have to say, I dislike icy conditions too.
We have people who don't know how to drive in ice, rain, or snow here.

  7. Hey Sandy,
Wow girl. Ya'll really got some weather! Funny, but even as close as we are to you guys we didn't get anything even close to that. The steps had a thin layer of ice that when stepped on just sorta vanished. Of course that's just fine with me!
    Hugs to all Ya'll,
    Sci

    1. SCI,

Yes we did get some weather. Even though we are only about 2 hours apart from one another, your weather is always different than ours.
I would rather a thin layer of ice.......I'll trade you :-)
Stay warm, sending hugs to you both.
      Sandy

You both stay safe and warm there, this weather is so unpredictable.
Don't forget to cover your garden beds. I think winter is here our temperatures are staying low.
