Explained I'm working on an experiment and needed a few food grade buckets with lids (where the bands were in the lids). The manager said come in anytime up to the bakery with a plastic bag and he would give me some. I go there each and every time with a plastic garbage bag (because the buckets will be dirty). When you leave the store make sure the front security knows the buckets were given to you by the bakery. I'd love to find an assortment like that (a few anyway) for storage of some prep supplies. It's hard when you start getting older, that's why I create lists of things to do. :-) The food grade buckets with seals in the lids are used for storing food long term. I make sure to place a mylar bag in those buckets before using them. The remaining food grade buckets (those without seals) I use for items like dog grooming supplies, camping supplies (non-food), soap(bars), screws of all different sizes all kinds of things which don't require being sealed when stored.Sandy Livesayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06183449816586125720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5709809754356131123.post-36120228771848934102013-10-11T08:57:20.554-05:002013-10-11T08:57:20.554-05:00Sandy,
nice haul on those buckets. As for the lid...Sandy,

nice haul on those buckets. As for the lids, something to think about is going to Lowes or Home Depot and purchase the "gamma lids" . You can also get them online at different retailers. They screw on versus the other lids, so that helps with not have to pop a lid off. Plus they are extra durable and reusable. I know when i have stacked my food buckets, up with the old lids, I have had those lids crack. Gamma lids won't.
